ABOUT GREG

Gregory W. Coleman, partner at Critton Luttier Coleman and Past President of The Florida Bar, has been practicing law in Palm Beach County for more than three decades. He joined the firm in 1995 and was named partner in June of 2000, during which time he has devoted his practice to the areas of complex commercial litigation, complex probate and trust litigation, employment litigation, professional malpractice defense, personal injury and wrongful death. He has been awarded the President’s Award of Merit by The Florida Bar three times, in which he became the first lawyer in the history of The Florida Bar to receive such an honor.

Mr. Coleman is profiled in The Best Lawyers in America, is preeminent AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and included in their Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. He has also been selected by the South Florida Legal Guide as a Top Lawyer, is listed as one of Florida Trend Magazine’s Legal Elite, and has been named a Florida Super Lawyer. Mr. Coleman is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Florida, all Circuit and County Courts in the State of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Supreme Court.

In addition to being Past President of The Florida Bar, Mr. Coleman served on The Florida Bar Board of Governors for over 15 years. During that tenure, he sat on and chaired many Florida Bar committees including; Executive, Legislation, Strategic Planning, Client Security Fund Procedures, Program Evaluation, Communications, Budget, Annual Meeting Committee Liaison, Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC) Screening, Judicial Nomination Commission (JNC), Judicial Nomination Commission 4th Circuit District Court of Appeals Screening, Rules, Special Committee on Lawyer Regulations, Disciplinary Review, Board Liaison to the Special Committee on Diversity & Inclusion, Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, Presidential Special Committee on Multi-Jurisdictional Practice, Florida Rules of Civil Procedure Committee, Speaker’s Bureau, Annual Meeting, Long-Range Planning, and Professionalism. Early in his career, Mr. Coleman was also voted in as President of the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar and the Palm Beach County Bar Association; at the time being the youngest person to serve in the position.

Mr. Coleman is currently the Vice-Chair of The Judicial Qualifications Commission, which oversees discipline of 1,000+ judges in Florida. He also served as the Executive Chair of the Supreme Court Commission on Access to Civil Justice from 2014-2021, and as a Director of The Florida Bar Foundation. He currently serves on the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Management Council Workgroup on Access to Civil Justice.

Mr. Coleman received his Bachelor of Business Activities in Finance and a Minor in Political Science from Stetson University in 1985. He then received his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1989. Mr. Coleman has been a member of the Stetson University College of Law Board of Overseers since 2010, and is the current Chair of the Board.
